The concept active is a turntable with an impressive feature set. On the mechanical side, the chassis made of high-density wood fiber composite and the resonance-optimized mass drive provide the perfect foundation. The extremely smooth-running DC motor—decoupled from the chassis—combined with the heavy 30 mm POM platter ensures exceptional smoothness of operation. The concept active is available with either the innovative, magnetically suspended concept tonearm or the gimbal-suspended Satisfy Kardan tonearm. The concept active comes standard with either a high-quality clearaudio MM or MC cartridge.

A Classic Concept with Versatility

The ELAC series features active speakers that, thanks to their technical specifications, effortlessly exceed expectations in terms of sound quality. In the compact ARB-51 bookshelf speakers and ARF-51 floorstanding speakers, a coaxial midrange/tweeter driver—paired with one or three 150 mm woofers, respectively—delivers a wide soundstage with precise sound localization and impressive bass performance. The fully analog signal path ensures maximum transparency, while BASH and CLASS A/B amplifiers with a total output of 300 W consistently drive the speakers with authority and guarantee unrestricted listening pleasure.

What Makes It Truly Special

The clearaudio concept active features a built-in phono preamplifier. Thanks to the very short signal paths and flexible adjustment options, perfect processing of the sampled signal is guaranteed. As a special feature, the unit includes a volume control, allowing ELAC active speakers to be connected directly to the concept active. This creates a high-quality, perfectly matched playback system that delivers pure vinyl enjoyment without the need for additional equipment. Unpack, connect, enjoy—it couldn’t be simpler. And if you find yourself wanting even more connectivity, the ELAC active speakers can also be easily streamed to wirelessly. While the ELAC Transmitter transmits analog audio signals, the ELAC Discovery Connect expands the system’s capabilities with streaming functionality (Roon Endpoint, Spotify Connect, AirPlay, and Bluetooth).
