Sales

We work with over 70 clearaudio specialist dealers throughout Germany. An overview of all German and international clearaudio specialist dealers can be found under “Find a dealer” (insert link).

Our specialist dealers possess in-depth knowledge of all clearaudio products and provide expert advice on your selection. Should a specific question not be answered directly, our team is always available to support the dealers. You will then receive feedback as quickly as possible.

Some of our products require particularly detailed consultation and benefit from individual configuration to match your personal requirements and your existing audio system. Therefore, we offer these items exclusively through our clearaudio specialist dealers.

There you have the opportunity to view the products on site, listen to them if required, and receive comprehensive advice. For a personal consultation appointment, please feel free to contact one of our specialist dealers (insert link).

Above all, bring some time and ideally some of your favourite LPs with you. This way you can experience the demonstration with music you know very well and judge the sound optimally.

Of course, our clearaudio specialist dealers also have a large selection of music that is excellent for listening tests.

For information on delivery times, please contact the clearaudio specialist retailer directly from whom you ordered your product.

If your specialist retailer does not currently have an exact delivery time available, they will obtain the information directly from us and inform you as quickly as possible.

Please therefore note the following information on the processing of warranty and repair cases and comply with them accordingly.

In the event of a warranty or guarantee claim

  1. Please note that we distribute our products exclusively through specialist retailers and our online shop. Warranty or guarantee claims arising from the purchase contract should therefore first be directed to the respective contractual partner from whom you purchased the product.
  2. Other authorised clearaudio specialist retailers are not obliged to accept warranty or guarantee claims for products that were not purchased from them.
  3. Shipping between the retailer and the end customer is not organised or carried out by the manufacturer. Please contact your retailer directly or, if necessary, check their website for information.
  4. To have your device inspected under warranty or guarantee, please contact the contractual partner from whom you purchased the device.
  5. For quick processing, please have your proof of purchase and a description of the fault as detailed as possible ready. This will enable your device to be checked promptly and the problem resolved to your satisfaction as quickly as possible.

After the warranty or guarantee period has expired

Even after the warranty or guarantee period has expired, you can have your device repaired for a fee. Please contact the clearaudio specialist retailer from whom you purchased the device or the clearaudio distributor in your country.

We also recommend that you keep the original packaging carefully. This provides optimal protection for subsequent shipping — for example in the event of a repair or if you resell your device.

The guarantee claim is void in the event of …

  • repair attempts of any kind not coordinated with clearaudio
  • improper operating environment or storage (e.g. damage caused by moisture)
  • improper transport packaging
(the complete original packaging offers adequate protection)
  • improper mechanical impact on the product, particularly damage from drops or subsequently occurring scratches
  • improper operation or improper assembly of the devices

Turntables

Battery solutions

For the clearaudio concept series and Performance DC we offer the smart power 12V (article no. EL035/B/S, EL035/B/B). This enables pure battery operation for all concept series and Performance DC turntables.

For the Ovation and Innovation series, the smart power 24V (article no. EL034/B, EL034/S) is available. This is a purely battery-powered 24-volt DC power supply for turntables.

For the Statement turntable we offer the specially developed smart power 24V (article no. EL036/B, EL036/S).

Power supply upgrade

The Professional Power 24V is a high-quality, transformer-based and stabilised 24-volt DC power supply. It offers improved filtering as well as sufficient power reserves for clearaudio turntables of the Ovation and Innovation series.

Thanks to the purified analogue power supply, the turntables benefit from even more consistent motor performance and significantly improved sound quality. The Professional Power 24V was specially developed to bridge the gap between the standard power supply and the Smart Power 24V.

For further information on prices and delivery times, please contact your clearaudio specialist dealer. If you do not yet have a specialist dealer, you will find an overview of all German and international clearaudio dealers — including those near you — under “Find a dealer (link)”.

Yes, with a suitable tonearm base, a tonearm from another manufacturer can also be mounted on a clearaudio turntable. We are happy to manufacture the corresponding tonearm base individually for you.

Please contact your clearaudio specialist dealer for further information on prices and delivery times. If you do not yet have a specialist dealer, you will find an overview of all German and international dealers – including those near you – under “Find a dealer”.

  1. First, remove the cartridge.
  2. Adjust the counterweight so that the tonearm floats freely above the platter and does not return to the rest position.
  3. Then turn the anti-skating screw so that the headshell is positioned directly above the edge of the record – at the position of the lead-in groove.
  4. Now mark the position of the anti-skating screw with a pen by drawing a line from the screw head towards the tonearm base.
  5. Refit the cartridge and then check the tracking force.

Please note that these instructions are intended for the standard concept MM and MC cartridges on the concept turntable.

For a particularly precise adjustment, we recommend using a test record, such as the clearaudio Trackability Test Record (article no. LPT 83063).

Belt Care and Replacement

The drive belt can dry out over time or become greasy and slippery through contact with fingers. As a result, it loses grip and can no longer drive the platter optimally, which can lead to inaccurate rotational speed.

We recommend replacing the belt annually or at least every two years. This applies regardless of how frequently the turntable is used, as the material can also dry out during extended periods of inactivity.

Bearing Lubrication

The platter bearing is crucial for the correct rotational speed and the longevity of your turntable. Insufficient lubrication can lead to increased wear and damage to the bearing.

Through regular operation, the oil can disappear over time or become contaminated by metal abrasion. A discolouration of the oil from grey to black can be an indication of this. Therefore, check regularly whether there is sufficient oil on the spindle.

The lubrication should be renewed after three years at the latest.

Tonearms

Yes, with a suitable tonearm base, clearaudio tonearms can also be mounted on turntables from other manufacturers. In this case, the corresponding tonearm base is usually provided by the turntable manufacturer.

Please contact the manufacturer of your turntable directly for further information.

Should the manufacturer require a technical drawing or the drilling dimensions for the tonearm base, you will find this information in the respective clearaudio tonearm operating instructions.

Under “Operating Instructions & Catalogues” you will find the operating instructions for all current clearaudio products available for download. Information and operating instructions for older products are also available in the “Archive” section.

Yes, all clearaudio tonearms can optionally be equipped with XLR connectors or modified accordingly.

Please contact your clearaudio specialist dealer for further information on available versions and possible additional costs. If you do not yet have a specialist dealer, you will find an overview of all German and international clearaudio dealers under “Find a dealer” – also near you.

Cartridges

MC cartridge systems cannot be repaired, only replaced. For this reason, we offer attractive exchange terms.

If you own a cartridge system from an older generation, there is also the option of upgrading to a current model from our latest generation.

Please contact your clearaudio specialist dealer for information on prices and the further process. If you do not yet have a specialist dealer, you will find an overview of all German and international clearaudio dealers – including those near you – under “Find a dealer”.

MM cartridge systems can be repaired or replaced – depending on their condition. In most cases, however, the system is replaced at the corresponding repair prices, as this enables faster processing.

Here too, we offer an upgrade service to current models from our product generation for older systems.

Please contact your clearaudio specialist dealer for information on prices and the further process. If you do not yet have a specialist dealer, you will find an overview of all German and international clearaudio dealers – including those near you – under “Find a dealer”.

We do not generally offer individual styli for sale. In the event of self-assembly, the original measurement values and optimal function of the cartridge can no longer be guaranteed.

For such cases, we offer a discounted stylus replacement service. During this process, your cartridge is simultaneously cleaned and inspected.

Exception: A replacement stylus is available separately for the clearaudio N1 cartridge.

Please contact your clearaudio specialist dealer for further information on prices and the procedure. If you do not yet have a specialist dealer, you will find an overview of all German and international clearaudio dealers – including those near you – under “Find a dealer”.

Experience shows that if the cartridge system is not secured with a stylus guard, damaged or broken styli often occur through unintentional contact in the household or by pets.

We therefore recommend always fitting the stylus guard as soon as the turntable is not in operation.

Should you no longer have a suitable stylus guard, you can obtain a replacement through one of our clearaudio specialist dealers. An overview of all German and international specialist dealers can be found under “Find a dealer”.

Under optimal conditions, clearaudio cartridge systems can be used for many decades.

However, the actual lifespan depends on various external factors, including climate, temperature, humidity, intensity of use, maintenance, and the condition of the records being played.

The actual wear part is usually not the diamond itself, but rather the rubber-silicone suspension of the cantilever, which can lose flexibility over the years.

If you suspect wear, your cartridge can be sent to us free of charge for inspection via your clearaudio specialist dealer. If you do not yet have a specialist dealer, you will find an overview of all German and international dealers – including those near you – under “Find a Dealer”.

We recommend a break-in period of approximately 100 hours for all clearaudio cartridges.

With the Clearaudio Cartridge Break In Test Record (article no. BIN 070904) this break-in period can be reduced to approximately 10 to 12 hours.

Yes, you can send in your clearaudio cartridge for inspection. We will carry out a technical analysis and clean your system professionally.

The cost for this service is €50.00.

Should you subsequently decide to purchase a new cartridge system – for example due to identified wear – the processing fee will be offset against the purchase price of the new system.

Vinyl Cleaning

The lifespan of the microfibre strips depends on various factors, such as the degree of contamination of the records, the selected washing programme, the frequency of cleaning the strips, and the surface structure of the cleaned records.

As a general recommendation:

  • Clean the microfibre strips approximately every 20 to 30 wash cycles
    (rinse under clear water)
  • Replace the microfibre strips after approximately 100 wash cycles

This behaviour can occur if the clamp does not sit firmly enough on the record.

Please ensure that you press the clamp lightly downwards at the same time as you close it. This will securely fix the record and prevent it from spinning during vacuuming.

Intro

Accessories

If your clearaudio turntable features a CMB bearing, a wide range of our clearaudio record clamps and weights can be used. clearaudio offers a large selection of suitable solutions for different requirements and turntable models.
