The VTA-Lifter (Vertical Tracking Adjustment) is the simplest and fastest way to adjust the tonearm to the perfect height. Because only a stylus entering the groove at the optimum angle delivers a perfect tracking result. You can even readjust the height during LP playback.

The clearaudio CMB (Ceramic Magnetic Bearing) has been developed through years of research and is based on a clearaudio patent. Two homogeneous magnetic fields of the same polarity arranged one above the other act in a small defined space and repel each other. The magnetic fields are additionally shielded to the outside with highly effective materials despite the small action radius.

A high-precision polished ceramic shaft is vertically guided in sintered bronze bushes. The matching of these components, which are also elementary for the inverted bearing, is carried out by hand and with the highest precision. A fully synthetic high-performance oil is used as bearing oil. The interaction of these selected components leads to an effect that makes the platter of your turntable virtually float.

The result of the magnetic bearing is extremely low bearing friction, previously unachieved rumble measurements and substantially smoother speed stability.

Break-In Test Record

A cartridge system requires a certain running-in time to achieve the best reproduction characteristics. This running-in time depends on the respective cartridge construction and on the signals tracked during this time. As a rule/normally this running-in time of a cartridge with a music signal is approximately 40 to 100 hours. This running-in time can, however, be significantly reduced by using pink noise in an endless groove as the signal for running in a cartridge. Now tedious running-in is a thing of the past.

Trackability Test Record

The trackability test provides information about the tracking characteristics of your tonearm/cartridge combination. The higher the value achieved, the better the respective tonearm/cartridge combination is able to track difficult groove modulations without distortion.
