A homage

With the Celebrity series, clearaudio honours the great artists of our time. The first edition of this series is dedicated to jazz guitar legend Al Di Meola. The US musician with Italian roots has been awarded multiple times, including a Grammy. This exceptional edition combines masterful craftsmanship with a passion for music and vinyl.

An elegant high-end turntable from clearaudio, whose chassis is modelled on the iconic shape of an electric guitar. Beside it lies a vinyl album by the artist Al Di Meola.

Homage to a legend: The exquisite turntable in distinctive electric guitar form was created in close collaboration with jazz guitarist Al Di Meola and unites music history with high-end technology.

Iconic form

The centrepiece of this turntable is a chassis made of high-density fibreboard, shaped in the form of an electric guitar – a clear sign of the close collaboration with Al Di Meola himself. Inside it contains the finest clearaudio technology, which makes the turntable a true high-end device.

High-tech components

The platter is driven by a flat belt which runs through the innovative Tacho-Speed-Control (TSC). This system monitors the speed in real time and automatically adjusts it to changing influences such as belt tension or temperature fluctuations. In addition, the speed is automatically calibrated with each restart – for consistently optimal performance.

To avoid vibrations and unwanted interference, the motor is decoupled using the Innovative Motor Suspension (IMS). This technology prevents vibrations from being transmitted to the chassis. This keeps the sound clear and unadulterated at all times.

Designer piece.

Particular attention has been paid to the design: the volume control of an electric guitar functions as a multifunctional control. With a simple press of a button, the turntable is started, the speed is changed between 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, or the device is put into standby mode. In calibration mode, fine adjustment of the speed is carried out by turning the control.

The design of the Celebrity turntable is completed by a special version of the Profiler tonearm and a specially developed MM cartridge, which also bears the name Celebrity. This unique turntable is offered in black or wood finish (rosewood genuine wood veneer).

The package is limited to 1,000 units and is delivered with a numbered special release album by Al Di Meola as well as a plectrum – a true collector’s item for music lovers and vinyl enthusiasts.
