Reference Jubilee

The declared aim of development was nothing less than to build a new reference in the realm of absolute High-End turntables. With the finished project on the test bench and in the listening room, we can say: mission accomplished.

Precision turntable construction

The Reference Jubilee combines a low-resonance chassis made from armoured wood with a 60-millimetre thick POM platter and magnetically suspended sub-platter. The aim of the construction is maximum running smoothness with minimal resonance.

Completely detached: The innovative cable system effectively decouples the powerful 24-volt DC motor from the chassis to eliminate vibrations.

Elaborately decoupled drive

The newly developed 24-volt DC motor features an ironless core design and is decoupled from the chassis via a rope system. An optical sensor permanently monitors the speed and automatically compensates for deviations.

Incorruptible wow and flutter values: High-resolution measurement of the reference voltage permanently corrects the speed in the background.

Precise speed control

The motor control operates with a high-resolution reference voltage that is continuously monitored and adjusted. This keeps the speed constant even over long operating periods and during temperature fluctuations.

Specifications

DESIGN PRINCIPLE:
  • Resonance-optimised turntable geometry
  • Sandwich construction of laminated wood and aluminium
  • Height-adjustable turntable feet
  • Optical Speed Control (OSC) speed regulation
  • “IMS – Innovative Motor Suspension” (counter-rotating suspension of the motor using 18 O-rings)
SPEED RANGE: 33 ⅓, 45, 78 rpm
DRIVE:
  • Belt drive with high-torque 24 volt DC motor
  • Fully automatic self-calibration of speed at the touch of a button
  • Hybrid motor control:
A high-resolution 12 bit digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) generates a motor reference voltage, which is fed into the purely analogue motor control.
Automatic compensation for friction and temperature changes on platter bearing and belt.
This ensures the speed remains in the perfect range at all times.
BEARING: Inverted, ground and polished ceramic bearing shaft, sintered bronze bearing bush, including patented CMB magnetic bearing technology
PLATTER: Solid 50 mm platter made of high-density technical plastic with excellent dimensional stability, dynamically balanced. //
15 mm CNC precision-turned, solid stainless steel sub-platter, dynamically balanced
WOW AND FLUTTER: < ± 0.05 %
POWER CONSUMPTION:
  • Max. power consumption: 5.0 watts
  • In operation: 2.1 watts
  • Switched off: 1.8 watts
WEIGHT: approx. 22 kg (without tonearm and power supply)
DIMENSIONS (W/D/H): approx. 495 × 343 × 180 mm (with tonearm base, without tonearm)
