The compact phono is designed for both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. Switching between the two operating modes is easy at the touch of a button.
With 47 kΩ / 100 pF for MM and 100 Ω / 100 pF for MC, it is compatible with a wide range of commonly used cartridges.
The exceptionally low-level signal generated by a phono cartridge requires careful amplification and processing. For this purpose, the compact phono uses a low-noise, two-stage circuit design and precise RIAA equalization.
With an RIAA accuracy of ±0.5 dB from 20 Hz to 50 kHz and total harmonic distortion of less than 0.0065%, it provides the technical foundation for clean and balanced playback.
An integrated subsonic/ultrasonic filter reduces unwanted interference outside the relevant frequency range. This keeps the signal processing focused on what matters most for playback.
