Emotion SE®
The Emotion SE (Second Edition) is a complete reworking of the original Clearaudio Emotion model.
Features include:
- A new 20mm-thick resonance optimised acrylic chassis with height adjustable feet.
- A 28mm-thick platter, adding mass and increasing inertia.
- Integrated patented Clearaudio ceramic magnetic bearing (CMB). While most turntable bearings use a metal spindle spinning in a housing with a ball-bearing separating the two, Clearaudio's bearing is aligned with a non-magnetic ceramic spindle and effectively floated on air by a magnetic field. This reduces friction, wear and noise by avoiding any point of load.
- Separate AC synchronous motor unit in a solid aluminium housing, with separate stainless steel base to provide mass damping and greater stability.
- 'Joint-less' silicone based drive belt.
The Emotion SE is typically sold as a package, complete with Clearaudio's Verify tonearm and a Clearaudio high output MM cartridge, offering a complete solution to the music lover who is looking for superior sound, but without the need for specialist technical help in matching turntable components.
